TNA Wrestler Announces His Departure

Chris Melendez took to his personal Twitter account today to announce that he is leaving TNA.  Melendez, who started in 2014 with the company, noted that he wanted to move on to the next chapter of his life and thanked the company for the opportunity.  He noted that he will be taking independent bookings by email at  The tweets are shown below.

Melendez, a former Army infantryman who served in Iraq, lost his leg in an explosion while at war.  He was trained by the Dudleys at their school in Florida before coming to Impact Wrestling.  His most memorable run in the company was his feud with Eric Young.
