Following the news that Jon Jones failed a drug test and would be unable to fight at UFC 200, it was announced that Brock Lesnar vs. Mark Hunt would be taking it’s place on the card as the main event of the show.

This puts Lesnar in the interesting position of headlining both UFC 100 and UFC 200.

Lesnar spoke on the matter in a press conference earlier today, saying “Merry Christmas to Brock Lesnar.”

s a milestone for the company and it’s a milestone for me,” Lesnar said about his long-awaited return to the Octagon.

“I’ve been in the business long enough — the entertainment industry, the fight game — the show still goes on,” Lesnar said at press conference at the T-Mobile Arena, where UFC 200 will take place. “I’m thankful I’m here.”

Lesnar also said that this was an “unfortunate state of events,” adding that it was unfortunate for Daniel Cormier, who was originally scheduled to face Jones in the main event.

“Guys work hard going through training camps, putting lots of time in, and [Cormier] is the guy who really gets the short end of the stick. It’s really unprofessional of anybody this caliber to let something happen like that.”
