The Updated WWE Battleground Lineup

After last night’s Monday Night Raw broadcast, the following matches are being officially advertised for the WWE “Battleground” pay per view event.  The event will take place on July 24 at the Verizon Center in Washington, DC and be broadcast on pay per view as well as WWE Network.

  • Dean Ambrose vs. Roman Reigns vs. Seth Rollins; WWE Championship fought under Triple Threat Rules
  • Chris Jericho hosts The Highlight Reel with the return of Randy Orton
  • Sami Zayn vs. Kevin Owens
  • John Cena, Enzo Amore, and Big Cass vs. AJ Styles, Luke Gallows, and Karl Anderson
  • Becky Lynch vs. Natalya
  • The Miz (c, w/Maryse) vs. Darren Young (w/Bob Backlund); WWE Intercontinental Championship
  • Rusev (c, w/Lana) vs. Zack Ryder; WWE United States Championship

Bill Says:  Ain’t gonna lie – this show looks pretty underwhelming at the moment, to me.  The triple threat between the former Shield mates seemed to be a good anchor match for the event, but without Reigns around for the build it just hasn’t seemed hot.  We’ll see if my feelings change over the next week or so.
