WWE Announces Return of Former United States and Intercontinental Champion on Smackdown

Tonight during the first Smackdown Live broadcast on USA Network, it was announced that Shelton Benjamin will be returning to the company.

Benjamin, a former Intercontinental, United States, and two-time Tag Team Champion, will be on the Smackdown brand.  Benjamin worked with WWE until his release in 2010.  He had runs since then in Ring of Honor and Japanese promotions, becoming a Pro Wrestling NOAH regular for about the past year.

WWE shared the video below on their Twitter account to hype Benjamin’s return.
