Report: TNA Signs Former WWE Star; Set to Debut August 11

ProWrestlingSheet.com is reporting that former WWE talent Damien Sandow has signed a deal with TNA Impact Wrestling.  Sandow, along with seven other talents, were released from WWE in May.  TNA President Dixie Carter was said to have interest in talking business with some of them once she was permitted.

Rolling Stone has also run a teaser video on their website as well, saying that a mystery wrestler would be debuting on the show tomorrow night.  That video is posted in the article.  With the Handel’s Messiah chorus in it, the video is a strong hint that it will be Sandow.  Sandow responded to the story by posting it to his Twitter as follows:

According to sources, the deal was recently made official and no terms were disclosed.  The teaser video is shown below:

Bill Says:  Sandow can be a difference maker for TNA, but it will be very interesting to see how he’s positioned.  He’s a good hand, with good mic skills, so he has tools to offer the company.
