Interview Highlight: Stephanie McMahon Notes WWE to be More Inclusive to LGBT Characters in WWE Programming

Stephanie McMahon recently spoke at a Beyond Sport United event.  At the event, she talked with NBC OUT and noted that WWE is committed to being more inclusive when it comes to LGBT characters in WWE Programming.  You can find the full story at this link, but here are a couple comments:

McMahon on Integrating LGBT Characters:

“We will integrate LGBT characters into our programming … and I do think there will be an opportunity to integrate some of those storylines in the near future.”

McMahon on WWE’s Relationship with the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD):

“We’ve had GLAAD come in and speak to our entire writing team and give a whole tutorial on sensitivities, the right words, the wrong word [and] why those words matters. I think that with their guidance and support, we will be able to portray that [LGBT storyline] appropriately.”
