As was reported yesterday on this site and others, WWE’s Eva Marie was suspended for thirty days due to a Wellness Policy violation. Today, the Total Divas star released a statement to ProWrestlingSheet.com addressing the suspension.
In the statement, Eva said that ““I am disappointed that this suspension has occurred, yet understand and respect that WWE upholds their Wellness Policy to the letter and won’t compromise on its integrity.” She went on to add that the violation was due to not turning in some required paperwork in a timely manner, and that she looked forward to returning to the ring.
This is Eva’s first offense, and her suspension was effective starting on August 18. She will be missing the six-woman tag match that she was booked in at SummerSlam as a part of the suspension.
