Report: Sasha Banks Removed from Live Events Due to Back Injury

There was a wide range of speculation that got underway last night on Twitter when Sasha Banks lost the WWE Women’s Championship to Charlotte at SummerSlam.  This morning, a report surfaced on ProWrestlingSheet.com that Banks is dealing with a lower back injury.  Banks is slated for an evaluation with doctors in early September to determine the extent of the injury.  There is no word as to whether or not she will continue to appear on Raw until the evaluation, but the injury is said to have factored into the decision to have her drop the championship.

Speculation ran wild last night on Twitter that Banks was removed from live events due to a Wellness Policy violation, given the timing of the live events she would be missing.  As of this writing, WWE has not made any sort of official statement.  Much more on this situation as official news becomes available.
