WWE NXT Announces Canadian “Takeover” Event; Cancels Live Events

WWE announced today that NXT will be putting on an NXT Takeover live special on the weekend of Survivor Series in Canada.  The NXT event will be held on November 19 in Toronto, Ontario at the Air Canada Centre.  Tickets for the event will go on sale on Friday, September 23.  You can read the full announcement over at WWE.com.

The company is currently advertising Shinsuke Nakamura, Asuka, and The Revival for the card.  The NXT event will be the lead-in to a full WWE weekend at the Air Canada Centre, as Survivor Series is slated to take place November 20 from the same venue.  WWE Raw will also take place there on Monday, airing live on USA Network on November 21.

Also, the company announced that the live events in Toronto, St. Catharines, and Kitchner, Ontario that were to take place the weekend of September 22-24 have been canceled.  Fans who had tickets for any of those live events will be refunded their ticket purchase and will also receive a special pre-sale code to get tickets for the NXT Takeover event.
