AXS TV Fights: Lion Fight 31 Results for 9/2/2016

Last night, AXS TV sent us the following results to the Lion Fight 31 event.  The event aired from the Foxwood Resort in Connecticut and featured four Muay Thai title fights.  Check your local listings for the AXS TV channel and airing time of AXS TV Fights in your area to see mixed martial arts and kick boxing events every Friday night.

Earlier in the night, AXS TV FIGHTS: LION FIGHT 31 featured four Muay Thai title fights, headlined by Jorina Baars (41-0-3), who handed Angela Whitley (14-1) her first loss to retain her welterweight title. Also fighting for titles, Antonina Schevchenko (38-1), sister of UFC fighter Valentina Schevchenko, defeated challenger Paola Cappucci (46-10-2) for the lightweight belt, Tum Sityodtong (89-6-6) took out formerly undefeated Gaston Bolanos (8-1) for the super lightweight title and Iman Barlow (84-5-3) claimed the super bantamweight championship over Jeri Sitzes (33-13-1). Main Card:

Main Event – Welterweight Title Fight – Jorina Baars (41-0-3) defeated Angela Whitley (14-1) by unanimous decision (50-45, 50-45, 50-45).

Co-Main Event – Super Lightweight Title Fight – Tum Sityodtong (89-6-6) scored a unanimous decision over Gaston Bolanos (8-1) (48-45, 48-45, 49-44).

Super Bantamweight Title Fight – Iman Barlow (84-5-3) beat Jeri Sitzes (33-13-1) with a unanimous decision (49-46, 50-45, 50-45).

Lightweight Title – Antonina Shevchenko (38-1) defeated Paola Cappucci (46-10-2) via unanimous decision (50-45, 50-45, 50-45).

Cruiserweight Fight – Brett Hlavacek (17-3) defeated Brad Mountain (3-4) by unanimous decision (50-45, 50-45, 50-45).
