Cody Rhodes Set to Debut for TNA Impact Wrestling at Bound for Glory

A video teaser that TNA released on Wednesday pretty much said it all, but tonight, the company made it official:  Cody Rhodes will be appearing at TNA Impact Wrestling’s “Bound for Glory” pay per view on October 2.

During tonight’s Impact Wrestling broadcast, the company ran a pre-taped video package to hype his arrival (shown below).  It was in that video package that Rhodes announced that he would be at the Bound for Glory show.  This runs hand in hand with the earlier announcement this week that Rhodes’ wife, Brandi, will be joining the Knockouts division as well.  In the video, Rhodes says the following:

“You don’t know a man until you walk a mile in his shoes. I learn more about me every day, with every mile. My past is just that. My story is being written one step at a time. My future is decided by the roads that I take. I am bound for a new adventure. Where I’m going there is gold, there is glory, because for me, all roads lead to Bound for Glory.”

I talk about this a lot more in tonight’s Around the Ring Podcast, so check that audio out.  It will be interesting to see who Rhodes works with, and what this means for him working the independents and other organizations.  No word as to whether this is a one-off deal or a long term deal, either.  More news to follow.
