As referenced in my Around the Ring podcast tonight, there are some people moving around and joining the NXT brand for at least a short run. Earlier on Twitter, WWE announced the return of former WWE Women’s Champion Mickie James. James will be appearing at NXT Takeover: Toronto to take on Asuka for the NXT Women’s Championship. Takeover: Toronto takes place on November 19 in Toronto, Ontario Canada. WWE’s tweet is seen below.
BELOW THE TWEET IS THE SPOILER FOR NXT TV TAPINGS. IF YOU DON’T WANT THIS SPOILED, DON’T READ PAST THE TWEET!
Also, at the NXT TV taping tonight former Ring of Honor Champion Roderick Strong made his debut. Strong had wrapped up with Ring of Honor on June 25 and has worked some independent dates since that time. He will be working with Austin Aries in the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic that will be concluding at the NXT Takeover: Toronto event as well.
Bill Says: Both are a fine addition to the roster, if even for a run. A lot of folks suspected that Strong would end up with the company when he left ROH.
