Billy Corgan Responds to TNA/Anthem Press Release; Claims He has Not Been Paid

And just that quickly, Billy Corgan has responded to the press release from TNA and Anthem Sports and Entertainment regarding their funding agreement.

Corgan, who was named as “no longer with the company,” took to Twitter to address the situation.  He claimed that he was not paid the $1.8 million he was due by Anthem on November 1, as was agreed to.  The cause was that the company needed a day to get the money together, but the company has not since followed through.  He noted that he is exploring his options, including converting his debt into 36 percent equity ownership.  The tweets are shown below.

Bill Says:  Interesting development.  Apparently he still holds a key with being able to convert his debt into equity in the company, so maybe he’s not out as president.  Obviously, more to come.
