TNA Impact Wrestling Creative Team Member Resigns Position

Dave Lagana, one of the members of TNA Impact Wrestling’s creative team for the past five years, took to the internet today to announce that he has resigned from the company.

Prior to arriving at TNA in 2011, Lagana spent time with the WWE creative team where he served as a lead writer for both Smackdown and WWE version of ECW.  When Ring of Honor was on HD Net (now AXS TV), Lagana worked with that company as well as a producer and writer.  Podcast fans may also recognize his “I Want Wrestling” podcast that he hosted.  Lagana joined TNA to serve as a writer for the Indian “Ring Ka King” series, then shifted over to the regular Impact Wrestling product.

In the full statement, which you can read at the link provided, Lagana talked positively about the talent he has had the opportunity to work with through the years and thanked the company as well as the talent he worked with at TNA for the opportunity.

It was noted on that there is a belief that Anthem Media will be adding new talent to the creative team now that they are in charge of the company.  Whether or not that had bearing on Lagana’s decision to leave is not clear.

Bill Says:  Is this the first of many talents, both in front of and behind the camera, to exit TNA in this time of transition?  I guess time will tell.
