WWE Women’s talent Rosa Mendes (real name Milena Roucka) took to her Instagram account today and posted that she is retiring from WWE. In the very classy post, she wrote that she was retiring on her daughter’s first birthday. “Today is Jordan’s first birthday and it’s also the day that I am announcing my retirement from the WWE,” she wrote.
She noted in the post that she once dreamed of being WWE Women’s Champion, but now she wants to be the best mother she can be. She also thanked the fans and called those she worked with family. “As I write these words I have tears in my eyes because of the love I have for my WWE family, and especially for the WWE universe. For the last 10 years, WWE was my life, my world and my family. I was Rosa Mendes. Now I am Milena Roucka, Jordan’s mother, a soon to be wife and a hard working entrepreneur.” You can see the full post at the link provided.
Bill Says: We hadn’t seen much of Rosa on television for some time now, and when one becomes a new parent it’s always a question if the demands of road life in WWE would drive someone to step aside for some time or retire from pro wrestling in order to raise a family. Certainly, best wishes to her are in order for whatever her life brings her next.
