Bubba Ray Dudley Makes Surprise Appearance at ROH “Manhattan Mayhem” Event

The surprises keep coming at the Ring of Honor Manhattan Mayhem event tonight.  Site reader Jonathan hit me with another email to pass along the following:

At the end of the show, Bubba Ray Dudley appeared.  He ran out for the save when Bobby Fish was attacked by Bullet Club following the main event.  Bubba cut a promo where said he was considering offers this week.  He responded to the fans chanting “fuck TNA” with “that’s why I didn’t take their offer.”  Bubba said ROH reminds him of a promotion that is special to him and the fans, and that drew ECW chants.

Bubba said if he came to ROH, it wouldn’t be because he wanted to be a tag team or world champion, or to be a veteran who steals from the company.  “If I come to ROH, it’s because I genuinely want to.  When I retire, I want to be able to say that I fought in Ring of Honor.”  He asked the fans if they thought it was a good idea.

Bubba called for Joe Koff (ROH executive) and he didn’t come out.  He wanted to ask him one question. “Do you know who I am?”  He said his name, and said that as of now he is in Ring  of Honor.

Bill Says:  This was a hell of a night of surprises for the fans in attendance.  If you were there, I’d love to hear from you – bwentz@ring-rap.com.  I wonder what else ROH has up their sleeve for the 15th Anniversary show.
