Interview Highlights: Bobby Fish Speaks on Being a Free Agent, More

Former tag team and television champion Bobby Fish sat down with Brian Fritz of to discuss his contractual situation with Ring of Honor and his future in wrestling.  His exclusive contract with Ring of Honor expired and he is a free agent as of today.  The full interview is at this link, but here are some highlights.

Fish on Working with Ring of Honor in the future:

“In no way, did I not want to continue working with Ring of Honor.  Under an exclusive deal, you don’t have that ability to test the market, so to speak. Because of that, this was a decision that started to make more sense. I don’t know, time frame wise what I’m looking at. I’m really kind of flying by the seat of my pants. It’s kind of nerve-wracking but exciting at the same time.”  Additionally it was noted in the interview that Fish will be working Ring of Honor’s “Supercard of Honor” event on April 1 in Lakeland, FL.

Fish on his future plans outside of Ring of Honor:

“At this point, if I’m being completely honest, I have no idea.  I can’t think of a time that I’ve been more up in the air as to what is going on. There’s still a lot of stuff that needs to be sorted out and settled. It’s like my professional life mimics my personal life because my lease is up at the end of this month, with the untimely passing of my mother in November, I have her house that I’m still dealing with and dealing with all that stuff. I got this whirlwind of personal s— going on and now it’s kind of a setup of who knows what professionally. Let’s just take it all at one time.”

Fish on the possibility of a rEDragon Reunion with Kyle O’Reilly:

“That I don’t know but probably sooner than expected.  It’s another one of the … I can’t shed a whole lot of light on things right now but it’s one of the things I’m excited about moving forward with the changes that are happening because it will give Kyle and I a chance to make the reDRagon thing happen again and then we’ll see where that pops up.  The circumstances have really put us in this position: where are we going to tag? Up until recently, I’ve been somewhat exclusive and Kyle was not with Ring of Honor, then reDRagon would have to be done, right? We’re not done.”
