EVOLVE 80, at the Orlando Live Events Center in Orlando, FL:

I really enjoyed this show.  Good action throughout.  Here’s the rundown:

  • Drew Galloway def. Matt Riddle in a quick match.  Galloway hit a piledriver from apron to floor, the Future Shock DDT, and another piledriver.
  • Timothy Thatcher def. Chris Dickinson.  Thatcher won by submission with a saka-otoshi sleeper hold.
  • Lio Rush def. Jason Kincaid and Jaka in a fun three way match.  They had some really cool spots in this one, which Rush finished off with a hang time frog splash.  Rush is the man.
  • The Gatekeepers def. Facade and another talent whose name I missed.  Squash match.
  • Ethan Page def. Austin Theory
  • Ricochet def. Keith Lee in a great match.  This was awesome, and Ricochet hit the 630 to win.
  • Tracy Williams and Fred Yehi def. Donovan Dijak and Michael Elgin to retain the EVOLVE Tag Team Championship.  I don’t know what it is, but Elgin and Dijak make for a good tag team.
  • Zack Sabre Jr. def. ACH to retain the EVOLVE Championship.  A solid match to end what was a good show from start to finish.
