Braun Strowman Undergoes Elbow Surgery; Timeline for His Return Updated

It was known previously that Braun Strowman would be undergoing elbow surgery that was classified as a “minor procedure” that would sideline him for only four to six weeks.  Today, WWE.com is reporting that Strowman will be sidelined for up to six months as a result of surgery that he underwent last week.

The report on WWE.com noted that Strowman was evaluated by Dr. Jeffery Dugas in Birmingham, AL on Wednesday and underwent surgery on Thursday.   The report further indicated that aside from the other injuries, his elbow had been shattered.

It was rumored that Strowman would be facing Roman Reigns at Extreme Rules to blow off their feud, and move on to face Brock Lesnar at some point.  With the nature of the surgery and injuries, that will not be happening.  It should be interesting to see how WWE works around this issue in terms of booking.
