Smith Hart Passes Away at Age 68

In a post on WWE.com, it was announced that Smith Hart has passed away.  Hart was 68 years old and succumbed to prostate cancer.  In February, Hart announced that he was dealing with a terminal diagnosis, then June he posted to his Facebook page that he had entered hospice care.

Hart was the oldest of twelve children, and notably was the uncle to current WWE women’s superstar Natalya and brother to Bret “Hitman” Hart.  Hart wrestled for his father’s Stampede Wrestling in Canada, as well as the World Wrestling Council in Puerto Rico and in Japan as well.  Hart made a few appearances in WWE as well.  At Wrestlemania 26 in Arizona, Hart along with other family members helped his brother Bret win a no holds barred match against Vince McMahon.

We extend our condolences to Smith’s family, friends and fans in their time of loss.
